Case study

Warsaw Barber School x Bizky

Challenge

The Warsaw Barber School (WSB) faced the challenge of offering its employees an optimal form of employment.
With 12 employees, including trainers, office workers, and barbers, the company needed to effectively manage various types of contracts, including employment contracts, contracts of mandate, and B2B contracts. Document and formality management was handled by an external accounting firm, but it required time and resources from someone within the company, affecting WSB’s operational efficiency.

Solution

We met WSB at a beauty trade fair in Warsaw, which led to closer collaboration. The benefits offered by Bizky, such as simplifying the hiring process, eliminating internal company bureaucracy, and the ability to hire all employees under a single VAT invoice, were the first advantages that interested Marcin, the owner of WSB.

Implementation Process

  1. Online Meeting: After the fair, we scheduled an online meeting with WSB to discuss the details of the collaboration. During the meeting, we presented the benefits of transferring employment to Bizky and discussed possible solutions for WSB’s employees.
  2. Presentation to Employees: The co-owner of WSB discussed the proposal to transfer employment to Bizky with all employees. After sending the salary calculator, 12 employees decided to test the new employment model.
  3. Contract Proposal: After the decision was made, we sent WSB a short online contract, which WSB signed after reviewing and accepting the terms.
  4. Adjusting Employment Forms:
    • Employees previously employed under B2B contracts could close their businesses, saving time and costs associated with running their own companies.
    • Employees previously employed under contracts of mandate began to earn more due to savings on ZUS contributions.
    • Employees with employment contracts who wanted retirement contributions remained directly employed under employment contracts but on a smaller scale. The remaining salary amount is paid through Bizky.
  5. Support for Employees: Employees had the opportunity to consult with a Bizky advisor regarding the details of the change and receive the necessary materials. All employees had to fill out a short online personnel statement once before the first payout.

Results

Cost Optimization: The transformation of the employment model brought WSB a 30% savings in salary payouts.
– Increased Salaries: Employees began to earn an average of 17% more, which contributed to their job satisfaction.
– Simplified Processes: Eliminating bureaucracy and complex formalities associated with employment allowed WSB to focus on the strategic development of the company.
– Improved Employee Satisfaction: Changing the form of employment reduced the stress employees faced with administrative duties, improving their quality of professional life.
